A few days ago we had our good friends Ben and Mary over for dinner- it had been quite some time, and we really needed to catch up. We've been dealing with our lovely elderly dog, and decided it was best not to try to go out for dinner, so we invited them to our place.

It's been a while since I've had the chance to 'really' cook a's the result of our tasty little mini-feast.

first- find the flowers for the table
cut and put in place

Spiced Chickpeas as an early crunchy tasty

Asparagus and goat cheese puffs- delish.

prepping, carrots, shallots, thyme in white wine

Halibut a la Barigoule
and the finishing touch- apricots with chocolate and pistachios- num!
What a pleasant evening it was!
