There was something organic, yet sophisticated, yet magical about the evening. For two years I had a vision of what wanted my 60th birthday party to look like. With my ideas as well as my lovely, talented (event planning) daughters we concocted the most elegant farm to table dinner setting- in our field for 60 guests.

As I walked through the gates it was like my dining room table had magically been transported to our garden in the field. It was just as I had envisioned it- and more.

Here’s a snippet to hold you over while I continue to reminisce over what a magical, whimsical evening it was.

Watch this space…

  1. I have a Peony Farm and I've thought of doing this. You and your daughters did a superb job. What a dream setting! Glad to hear that you really enjoyed your birthday.

    1. Well hi there 'neighbor' (I'm on Marrowstone Island)- I will say it helps to have a superb event planning daughter assisting (as well as supporting family). I coincidentally just looking at your site yesterday for ordering- but saw it was closed for season- I need more peonies in my life. Your peony farm looks like the perfect place to host such an event, especially when all your flowers are in bloom. Sounds quite intriguing- I hope you do it!
