A DAY AT PIKE PLACE MARKET

OK, I've shown you the graffiti walls, and you've  seen the 'gum wall'. I've posted snippets of other market fare. But there's more- hey, there's always more.

Flowers, flowers, everywhere- one of the main reasons I go to the market is for the flowers. I am continually amazed at their beauty, and their prices.

Then the food- whether from the land or the sea...its fresh as fresh can be.

Port Townsend Creamery @Pike Place Market- some of my favorite cheeses

And then there's Lowells- a market institution- been there 'forever'. Great food, and even greater views of the waterfront and Olympic mountains.

The 'Great Wheel' recently opened- this view is from Lowells - not bad eh?

And if you step 'under'  the market there's more to see and do...like these little curiosities...

Or 'outside' the market for more of the same...

And go beyond for more surprises...walking the area is a great way to find hidden treasures, and get some good exercise- gotta love Seattle's hills.

I've only scratched the surface here folks- tell me what your favorite thing to do/see in Seattle is...
